Nationwide FLUORIDE Education & Information Tour

New Zealand’s most informed non-government organisation on the issue of mass fluoridation of drinking water is touring the country for Fluoride Education & Information events so that you can be informed what your government is doing to your water.

Fluoride Free NZ was established more than 20 years ago and has been following the science around mass fluoridation of drinking water. Did you know that recent US Government-funded research has confirmed that fluoride in the water is as bad for you as lead? Despite this, the Ministry of Health has forced fluoridation on all city, district and unitary councils to ensure that all drinking water in the country is fluoridated. This directive is based on biased, out-of-date research and junk science.

As at May 2023 only 22 councils out of 67 have any fluoridation but the MoH has directed 14 more councils to start fluoridation by July 2024. Another 22 councils have been contacted and advised they will most probably be given a directive to start fluoridation in the future.

Fluoride Free NZ does not receive government funding and relies entirely on money from its members and public donations to keep up its work of informing Kiwis of the dangers of mass fluoridation.

    1. Hi Olivia, we do not have any specific plans at this time to hold a public meeting in Auckland. However, I will be in Auckland on Monday the 31st of August so if anyone wanted to organise a meeting for that evening I would be more than willing to speak. Please sign up to our newsletter on http://www.fluoridefree.org.nz to keep abreast of developments.
      thanks
      Mary Byrne
